Spine with blackstamp lettering and gilt decoration of crossed flags and year at foot. Light green endpapers. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed with frayed tips, head and foot of spine ruffled with tiny closed tears, minor chipping at foot. Front and rear gutters separated, mesh visible and still secure. Covers lightly soiled. Small spotting throughout, title page with heavy foxing, tissue guard for frontispiece excised. Illustrated with frontispiece and several plates.
