This specialized cookbook focuses on food preparation for the sick and those recovering from illness, offering a fascinating look at early twentieth-century cooking practices and the historical relationship between food, nutrition, and convalescent care.

Octavo (5" x 7.75"), xiii + 289 + 12 pages. Bound in full green cloth with gilt lettering and a printed kitchen scene on the upper cover, along with gilt lettering to the spine. The original dust jacket is lacking.

The book presents very minor edgewear, lightly bumped and rubbed corners, and a ruffled spine foot with tiny closed tears. Page 63/64 has been tipped in with tape.
