"The Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan" by James Morier, published in New York by Random House in 1927. This richly illustrated edition of Morier's classic Persian adventure features color plates and an unusually attractive pictorial cover extending continuously from the front cover across the spine to the rear cover.

Quarto (7.25" x 10.75"), with the original illustrated dust jacket, which shows considerable wear, including fraying at the edges and tears along the bottom and spine hinges. The book itself has slightly rounded right corners. A bookplate on the front pastedown belonging to William Paul Magee reads, “This is my book.”

A letter from Meredith Wood, Vice President of the Book-of-the-Month Club, Inc., to a club member concerning the sending of this book is laid in. Also included is a separate section between pages 240–242 printed on purple paper, containing the short story “Gold by the Dervish.” A particularly interesting illustrated edition with notable provenance and ephemera.
