"North Africa: Tripoli, Tunis, Algeria, Morocco — Architecture, Landscape, Life of the People" by Lehnert & Landrock and Ernst Kuhnes, published in New York by Brentano's in 1924. This large-format volume presents the architecture, landscapes, and daily life of North Africa, with coverage of Tripoli, Tunis, Algeria, and Morocco.

Folio (9.5" x 12.25"), in the original yellow publisher's cloth, with a large black script title on the spine and upper cover. The boards show darkening and staining, with a rounded upper right corner. There is foxing along the fore-edge and on some pages, and the stitching at the crown and foot of the spine is loose. The book is protected by a Brodart book jacket.

Of particular interest is the provenance: a bookplate on the front pastedown identifies Kiehnell & Elliott Architects, 930 Seybold Bldg., Miami, Fla., accompanied by an architectural stamp and an “Orbis Terrarum” emblem on the first flyleaf. An appealing oversized volume for collectors interested in North African architecture, landscape, photography, and cultural history.
