"The Morbid Anatomy of Some of the Most Important Parts of the Human Body" by Matthew Baillie, Eighth Edition, published in London in 1833 by Edward Portwine and others. This early medical work examines pathological changes in important parts of the human body, offering insight into the development of anatomical pathology and nineteenth-century medical understanding.
Duodecimo (4.25" x 6.75"). xvi, 281, 6 pages. Bound in tan cloth over tan boards, with a paper title label on the spine. The spine label is chipped, with some lettering lost. The binding shows general edgewear, bumped and rubbed corners, ruffling at the head and foot of the spine, and light soiling to the boards.
A modest but historically interesting edition for collectors of antique medical books, anatomical pathology, and early nineteenth-century medical literature.
