12mo. (4.5" x 7.25") 2 of 3 volumes (lacking Vol.I.) Quarter brown polished calf with corners, bright gilt rule to all leather edges, over marbled boards. Spine with five gilt decorated raised bands. Gilt title to gilt rule framed red leather in second panel, gilt vol# to gilt rule framed dark brown leather in third panel, large gilt monogram with crown to first panel, rest blank. All edges lightly reddened, small oval monogram similar to the one on spine impressed into upper first free endpaper. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, scuffs and rubs to all leather, light rubbing to boards, heads of both volumes lightly chipped with negligible loss. Foxing mostly to front and rear of text and along fore-edges of internal pages. Only 2 of 3 volumes, this set of books has the last third of The False Step, and the complete The Sisters starting on page 157 of Vol.II. through to end of Vol.III.
