The plates are housed as an unbound collection within a full green cloth casing featuring heavy gilt decoration and lettering to the covers. The spine of the casing has been removed and partially mended with adhesive, and the corners of the casing are chipped. Moderate foxing is present throughout the first half of the plates.

A visually interesting turn-of-the-century collection of Venetian views, offering period depictions of the city's celebrated canals, streets, and lagoon landscape.
