8vo.(6.25" x 9.375") Salesman Prospectus. 172 pp + 18 pp. of subscription pages, 4 lines filled in. Full brown leather with decorative embossed designs to both covers, spine blank. Marbled endpapers, both pastedowns with examples of alternative binding's spines, the front in brown cloth with heavy gilt letterimg and decoration, the rear similar with black leather. Both gutters professionally strengthened. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, head of spine lacking .5" of leather, chipped and rubbed. Tiny closed tears to fore-edges of some pages, some with small chips, plates included. Large closed tear to pg 222/223, may be other closed tears as well. Illustrated with 18 color plates, one being a manakin, lacking folding tabs, other plates with small closed tears to margins. Pages soiled in places, multiple dog-ears and finger smudges.
