Spines with gilt rule bands, gilt lettering to red leather in second compartment, gilt vol.# to fourth. All edges lightly reddened. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed through to boards. Head and foot of spines chipped. Repairs to a couple of joints and upper board of Vol.I., with dings to fore-edge of lower board towards foot. of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy to front pastedowns, small ink stamps of same to rear of title page with perforated library stamp to tile page as well. Scattered foxing, marginal stains to first and last few pages of each volume, heaviest foxing towards rear of each text. Illustrated with an engraved plate at rear of each volume. Index and errata at end of Vol.IV. A scarce set of books especially as a First Edition and complete.
