- Folio (11.25"x16.5") 1829, First Edition. Unnumbered pp., 65 plates. Quarter red leather with generous corners over marbled boards. Spine with five gilt decorated raised bands, gilt lettering to black leather in second compartment, heavy gilt floral design to all others. All edges gilt. Edgewear, corners bumped an rubbed with scuffing, leather peels, covers rubbed and scuffed (see pic). Head and foot of spine chipped with small loss, upper board professionally attached, strengthened. Extremities rubbed with scuffing to board edges. Spots of foxing seen on some plates (see pic), with most clear of any foxing issues. A Large heavy book filled with incredibly detailed plates of Shipping and Craft from Edward Willioam Cooke, a British landscape artist best known for his marine waterscapes; ships, sails, port views, and cargo.
