Joints tender on two volumes, otherwise very good. The first 3 volumes (Materia) are entirely text and tables. The next 5 volumes (Tavole) are bound in two (1-4, 5) and feature 318 measured drawings of bridges, dams, jetties, and other public construction projects. Plan of the work: "Materials. Construction and foundation in general. Applications to the construction of ordinary and railways roads. Viaducts and fixed bridges of wall, wood and metal, roof bridges and movable bridges - Internal and artificial navigation, irrigation, aqueducts , sewers, artesian and absorbent wells.

Mattia Giuseppe Sganzin (1750–1837), known in France as Joseph-Mathieu Sganzin, was a French civil and maritime engineer, inspector general of public works, and professor at the École Polytechnique, renowned for his influential engineering treatise Cours de construction that shaped 19th-century civil engineering education across Europe.
