- 8vo.(5.75" x 8.5") Full burgundy publishers cloth with blindstamp borders, gilt title towards head, gilt author towards center, blindstamp decorative device towards foot (see pic), rear blank. Spine with gilt title/author towards head, gilt publisher towards foot, double gilt rule to hed and foot of spine. Advertisements as printed endpapers. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed with small loss to lower tips, spine with ruffle head and foot with small closed tears, spine sun-faded, rear cover soiled, scuffed at edges. Red oval stamp of RailRoad News Co. to first free flyleaf (an ad), affecting text. Apparently lacking the last free flyleaf and endpaper(?). (Possibly lacking a folding map, I could not find another from this year to compare it to.) Illustrated with engravings, in-text illustrations of the western lands, the Native Americans, scenes of travel, etc. A Very nice informative book.
