"The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex" by Charles Darwin, Second Edition, Revised and Augmented, 22nd Thousand, published in London by John Murray in 1888. In this influential scientific work, Darwin develops his ideas on human evolution and examines sexual selection, including the role of mating preferences and competition in the development of physical and behavioral traits. Illustrated with drawings, this two-volume edition represents an important period in the history of evolutionary biology.
